cosmic Trip

A JavaScript implementation of an early and devastating python program. For starters try traveling to Proxima Centauri- THE next closest star to us outside our Solar System. It’s a pithy 4.2lightyears away. No sweat. We need an escape velocity of about 26,000mph to clear Earth’s pull. We currently launch into deep space in the neighborhood of 30,000mph, so let’s say we’ve vastly improved our propulsion technology and have tripled the speeds with which we venture into the Cosmos. I wont spoil it for you. Plug in the numbers for yourself. Please specify if you would like to calculate Miles or Lightyears, enter your desired destination, how far away it is, and the speed of you Cosmic Van.
