It seems as though the great state of Indiana, while contemplating its many dead sons–maimed by bayonet, vivisected by grenade–grew a massive erection that turned out to be, as Bob Dole has since proven humanly possible, permanent. Ten stories high and topped with a dead sailor. O! how adored and adorned. What could be more patriotic?

I’ve been told by the butler to inform you that your mother expresses her deep love to you, Smithson, but it’s also been expressed that that love comes with a grain of salt. Achieving Failure

Antithesis

A nuclear bomb detonates with such incredible force because it is the ultimate collision with concrete reality. An Atom – inarguable. Prove enough points and we’re all reduced to… To imagine the energy of the Universe, of the moment(s) of its birth – the Big Bang, imagine all atoms simultaneously exploding. The total energy of all atoms in the universe. E=Mc2 where M (mass) = EVERYTHING. The whole history of activity back since the very beginning in one single event. Back to the pre-atomic. Back to the microseconds of speeding – seething plasma. A glowing glow – for there IS nothing else but the glow. All the energy only. Everything it takes to hold us together. We are because of a force equal to all of the energy in the Universe. The antithesis of thought is an atomic bomb.

Didn’t Die Young Yet

New project from Jake Cholak & NaDA just launched tonight, Didn’t Die Young Yet: Stories for Strangers. We’re soliciting friends and strangers through Kickstarter for money for stories. Jake Cholak is basically furious, also a fantastic writer. This is a foray of an experiment. For now, pledge an amount to the project and you will receive a story written just for you. switch-hitting at the answers
of dust-mite thoughts
